These scholars have been recognized for their hard work in their academics, extracurricular activities, and contributions in the community. Cyerra Gage - Connally High School Graduate
Cyerra is a first-generation college student who is pursuing a Liberal Arts degree at St. Edward’s University. She was involved in volleyball, One Act Play, Student Council, cheer, cross country, UIL, fall musical and National Honor Society.
Melissa Rodriguez - Gholson High School Graduate
Melissa is a first-generation college student who is pursuing a Nursing degree at McLennan Community College. She was the Salutatorian for the 2016 class at Gholson High School. Here she was involved in basketball, track, volleyball and National Honor Society.
Safiq Sindha - Harmony High School Graduate
Safiq is a first-generation college student and will be attending the University of Texas at Austin and majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He was involved in the robotics team, National Honor Society, math team, Science Olympiad, Turkish Olympiad and the Texas Aerospace Scholars Program. Safiq volunteered for the Lego League and the Robotics World Competition.
Cory Thompson, Jr. - LaVega High School Graduate
Cory is attending McLennan Community College pursuing an Accounting degree. He was involved in National Honor Society, Health Occupations Students of America, Texas Association for Future Educators, Peer Assistance Leadership and Services and Advanced via Individual Determination. He also volunteered with Food for Families and field service for Jehovah Witnesses.
Adilen Fernandez - Mart High School Graduate
Adilen attends McLennan Community College where she is pursuing a Kinesiology degree in hopes of one day becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. She was involved in band, UIL, track, Future Farmers of America, One Act Play, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Government.
Triston Rogers - McGregor High School Graduate
Triston is a first-generation college student who will be attend Baylor University and major in Journalism. He was involved in band, UIL, the prom committee, football, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council and served as a class officer.
Kyle Aldrdige - Paul and Jane Meyer High School Graduate
Kyle is attending McLennan Community College where he is pursuing a degree in Respiratory Therapy. He was involved in National Honor Society, Key Club and band. He also served as First Sergeant in the Young Marines.
Robert Kelly - Moody High School Graduate
Robert will be attending McLennan Community College studying Agricultural Development to eventually become an Agricultural Sciences Teacher. He was involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, basketball, Future Farmers of America, calf scrambles, livestock shows, Junior Beefmaster Breeders Association and he also volunteered with his local church.
Aaliyah Olvera - University High School Graduate
Aaliyah is a first-generation college student who is attending Baylor University and studying Computer Science. She was involved in orchestra, soccer, swimming, Student Council, Upward Bound, Skills USA, Key Club and Teen Leadership Waco.
Brittany Krumnow - Valley Mills High School Graduate
Brittany is a first-generation college student and will be attending Tarleton State University to pursue a Nursing degree. She was involved in softball, basketball, volleyball, track and the National Honor Society. Also she volunteered with the Valley Mills Athletic Booster Club.
Sylvia Conatser - Waco High School Graduate
Sylvia attends Baylor University where she is following the path of a University Scholar. She was an active member in band, Show Choir, Acapella Choir and Theatre. She also participated in the Mock Trial Practice Team where she served as an Alternate Attorney.
Christian Holtz - West High School Graduate
Christian is attending McLennan Community College and pursuing a degree in Animal Science to become a Veterinarian. She actively participated on the Dazzler’s Dance Team, served as a class officer, and played softball and volleyball. She also volunteered at Fuzzy Friends and with Parker’s Park Project.
