University High School has the #1 Stock Market team

It's official. The Texas Council of Economic Education has announced that University High School has the #1 Stock Market team in the Central Texas Stock Market Game. University competed against 273 teams as far south as San Antonio, and north and west to the Amarillo and Lubbock area. This team was given $100,000 virtual money at the end of September and made it into $128,145.99 by the first week in December when the game officially closed. Their nearest competitor from Clark High School in San Antonio, Texas ended the game with $121,708.00. The University team even beat a team from the University of Texas Law School from Texas University on the state game level.

Team members are Raul Campos, Julio Castillo, Anali Olguin, Carlos Sanchez, and Julian Yepma.

University High School also had the 3rd place team until the last day when they were beaten by Thrall High School in Thrall, TX. They were beaten by only $150.00. Those team members were Sebastian Evans and Ariana Cardona
